{First Anniversary} :: Chicago

^ This is a view from our run in Lincoln Park - one of my favorite spots we went in the city!

We spent our first anniversary in the city of Chicago for my Horatio Alger National Alumni Conference. It was a full weekend full of sighseeing, chicago dogs and popcorn, runs by the lake (and in the park). Even in the summer it was nice and windy, sometimes chilly. We stayed at the Drake Hotel and it was incredible! The views of Lake Michigan were unbelievable.

Dinner the first night at the Drake Hotel ^ so yummy and fancy. It was also so fun to reconnect with old friends. That same night we went up to the top floor of the Hancock Center - the views of the city at night...I swoon!

Walking along the Chicago River together ^

Of course we had to have some famous, deep dish Chicago Pizza at Lous Malnati's - yummy but I personally prefer NYC style pizza.

We did a little river cruise. Right as our cruise was starting, it began pouring rain. Still so worth it. The architecture in Chicago is amazing.

On our last night in Chicago, we went to an amazing concert with George Perris. Such a fun night out!

And of course to end our trip, we had to see "The Bean" during the day and we rode bikes around Millenium Park and Buckingham Fountain.

^ Obsessed with my neon green pants!

One Year :: Summer in the Salty City

I love photos. And we love this Salty City! So for our One Year Anniversary and to celebrate one year of living in downtown SLC, we wanted some pretty summer photos in the city.

A few of our favorite moments from year one:

Trip to El Salvador and Guatemala
Anniversary in Chicago
Buying our Subaru
Tetons and Jackson for Labor Day
Late night walks through the Avenues
Lots of time in the mountains {including a crazy hike to Mt. Olympus and skiing}
Summer bike rides to the Farmers Markets in Pioneer Park
Temple every week
Our best friend's wedding
Getaways to Park City

Eva's in one of our all-time favorite bakeries ^ Go there and get an almond croissant with rose lemonade! Or one of their mini pizzas or salad for lunch. You cannot go wrong at this little gem.

Love, xo,
The Woodfields
